The Africa-Wide Conference on “Tackling Inequalities and Promoting Structural Transformation in Africa” sees delegates from agencies across Africa gather to discuss key contemporary issues on inequalities. The conference is aimed at forging linkages between ongoing African development debates and discussion of a post MDGs development framework. Its therefore looks to bring together a network of universities, research institutes, policy centers and civil society organizations which are committed to advance together an African agenda for equity and inclusiveness.
This year’s conference will be held in Accra Ghana and is organized by the Government of Ghana in partnership with several organizations including the Institute for Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) of the University of Ghana, the Third World Network Africa, the Society for International Development (SID), the Centre for Global Development, CODESRIA, and the Institute for African Futures, among others.
